First, we went to Arizona to spend some time with the new baby of the family! A huge congratulations to my sister in-law and her husband on their adorable little package. This was Isla's first time meeting her new baby cousin, and I swear if they didn't have cat's I'm sure she would have been VERY interested! (insert embarrassed monkey emoji here).
Our favorite thing to do with Isla in Arizona is the zoo we have in our area. I know the San Diego zoo is notorious and supposedly one of the best in the country, but I honestly don't prefer it. The exhibits are so far away, and half the time they're either empty or the animals are hiding. The zoo in Arizona, on the other hand, is amazing! We were blown away. You are able to get so close up to the animals and there were so many babies! I swear the last time we went, every animal had just given birth!
Of course we visited the flamingos, and Isla loved it.
Isla's outfit: here! Her shoes are sold out but THESE are similar and I love these too!
I have to apologize for the lack of pictures. Worst blogger of the year award goes to: me. I didn't want to risk bringing the nice camera on the trip, and we were busting at the seems with all of the items we were bringing for Isla. Talk about stressful! We were lucky to get an entire isle to ourselves, but keeping a toddler in one spot for 3 hours is a feat all in itself. We employed the help of a couple Disney flicks to make the ride go a bit smoother.
I wore this fringe kimono as a coverup practically the entire time I was at the resort because it's so cute and comfy! It's hard to get creative with pool-side makeup/accessories, but I saw some super cute fashion forward locals wearing some adorable kimonos and matching it with bright lipstick, they looked fantastic! I played it safe with my black kimono/faux lipstick. I will have to build up the confidence to wear a red lip poolside ;).
